“HARWOOD Peter Hedley OBE died peacefully on Sunday 16th September 2007 after a short illness stoically borne. Former Principal of the PAF Public School, Lower Topa, Pakistan and of the Federal Government Colleges at Sokoto and Kaduna, Nigeria, he will be sadly missed by his sons, Simon and Jonathan, and by his many former students, colleagues and friends. Private funeral to be followed by a service of Thanksgiving at St Peter’s Church, Brandon. Enquiries to Jonathan Harwood Tel 08142 810253.”

The funeral takes place next Thursday (27th Sept) and we have yet to fix the date for the service of Thanksgiving.

My heartfelt condolences at this occasion. A great man passed away from our lives.
He gave us discipline, sense of direction and enlightenment.
Mr. Harwood a pleasant and warm personality, a wonderful person and a great teacher has always been a father like figure to us.

He will be always in my memory.

This year’s (2006) re-union of Lower Topa Old Boys Association of the Americas (LOBAAA) is being held in the great Niagara Falls, Toronto, Canada on 25^th through 26^th August. Once again, we received a great response from the membership as usual.

It is our third get together. Being a small community, I feel it is a great achievement. Most of our membership has been enthusiastic and keen to take part in these gatherings.
